I hand out sketchbooks and hold exhibitions for the young artists, to record down experiences and to feel proud of work produced.

This also gives parents a chance to talk to me and to see what everyone has achieved though-out the term. At the end of term I hold mini exhibitions in the studio for all the parents to come and have a look at what we have been doing, and for the children to feel proud of their work and see it on the wall.

On a Thursday morning and evening I also teach adult printmaking. This is held in 4 week blocks in workshops featuring relief printing, screen printing and drypoint. I teach the skills necessary for each printing process.

The mixed media adult art class on a Friday morning is run by Antonia Oglivie. It is a mixed ability class as you can work to your own level. Generally based around a Still Life we will focus on drawing, mixing mediums and colour . Sometimes we may go outside weather depending or have a portrait /costume model in. Participants can use a medium of their choice from oil pastel and water colour to ink and acrylics. This is a great opportunity to experiment with mediums you have never used before. This leads to a beautiful range of results and is always extremely inspiring.
